Came to this place for the Japanese skewers and they did not disappoint! But in my opinion, the hidden star of the meal was the grilled Saba. The grilled was was so well done that I would come back just for it. ...

This Japanese sushi place is amazing! The sushi is incredibly delicious and super fresh. I also ordered all the skewers every single one was packed with flavor and perfectly grilled. Their fried rolls were also really tasty. Be prepared to wait a little since its always busy, but its absolutely worth it. Highly recommend!

Food and atmosphere here were dope. Service took a little bit, but the place was completely packed so it was understandable and expected, with as many customers to staff as there was. Highly recommend the kalbi beef and the yakatori ...

Consistently a great place to go for a night out. Although the menu is large you really cant go wrong with any choice. Big fan of the yakitori and the okonomiyaki, but had the salmon collar tonight instead. Very good still. Highly recommend whether youre visiting by yourself or with a group.

Menu Highlights: Where Tradition Meets Innovation

Issian takes pride in its extensive variety of donburi—a traditional Japanese rice bowl dish. Each donburi offers a unique culinary experience, and I was particularly taken with:

  • Chirashi Don: An artful arrangement of assorted sashimi atop sushi rice, priced at $19.00—a feast for both the eyes and the palate.
  • Salmon Oyako Don: A delicate blend of salmon and salmon caviar over sushi rice for only $18.00—the flavors bursting with ocean freshness.
  • California Don: A delightful mix of crab salad and avocado, priced reasonably at $12.00—perfect for those who appreciate the subtleties of seafood.

For those looking to explore beyond donburi, Issian’s appetizers are equally tempting. The JFC (Japanese Fried Chicken) stands out with its crispy exterior and juicy interior, a dish that never fails to ignite joy. You’ll also want to try the Takoyaki—fried octopus dumplings that offer a satisfying texture and flavor profile.

A Gathering Place for All Food Lovers

Issian nails it not just with its diverse menu but also through its commitment to providing options for various dietary preferences, including vegan and limited vegetarian selections. For those looking for a hearty meal or just a light snack, there’s something on the menu for everyone.
